Stimulation of mitochondrial activity bylow level light therapy

Light therapy with pulsed red light by REPULS positively stimulated bioenergetic parameters in fibroblasts, especially when challenged by hypoxia, increasing mitochondrial activity and ATP production. Light therapy would be an easily applicable and cost-effective alternative or supportive treatment method. Further experiments, exploring the cellular and subcellular mechanisms, are necessary to better comprehend the mechanism of action and their relationship to one another in order to improve this promising therapy.
